Edit book and series metadata (tags,...)

Komga web UI is great for most edits, but it would be nice to at least edit the book tags and the series genre and tags while reading. Tags are very powerful to assign ratings, categories,… that pops in mind while reading. So I don’t thinks a full edit of all metadata is needed, but at least some like the tags.

Thanks David for the feedback. I know about komf, but I actually manage my comics with the comicrack app (windows only unfortunately). It’s really great and via plugins can fetch metadata like komf does, but from a nice GUI. And it does a tons more. It injects all metadata in a comicinfo.xml file directly inside your comic archives (cbz) and then Komga and any other program can have all metadata automatically. I even wrote my own software to sync read progression and a few others metadata between Komga and ComicRack so that all metadata are always in sync between the two.

oh great that sounds cool. I typically use komf for smaller series and comictagger for larger ones (comictagger does what you’ve described). I’ll have to look into comicrack

Hi. I’m not a developer or anything, just another fan of the app that had the same problem as you. Konya doesn’t natively add any metadata, but I’ve found a workout in a program called komf. I run komf on the same server that my Komga server is on, and Bismarck,y what it does is scans my library and adds metadata to your comics, which show up on komga and on komic. Its not the perfect solution but its a good workaround, hope this helps!
