Is the book a .cbr? There's a known issue affecting some cbr files when reading from downloads, and it's already fixed for the next update. The update should be released in a couple of days.

I can see the downloaded book in downloads but when I open it, I only get „Failed to load page”. In system setting Komic is using the local device storage
